Description

Delightful warm pastries filled with sweet apples and spices, perfect for a vegan dessert or snack.


Ingredients

  • 2 sheets of puff pastry
  • 30g caster or granulated sugar
  • 2 heaped teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 4 large apples
  • Dairy-free milk
  • Vegan caramel sauce (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a flat surface.
  3. Mix the caster sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
  4. Peel, core, and chop the apples into small pieces.
  5. Toss the chopped apples with the sugar and cinnamon in a large bowl.
  6. Place one pastry sheet on a baking tray and spread the apple mixture evenly over it.
  7. Cover with the second pastry sheet and seal the edges.
  8. Cut slits in the top to let steam escape.
  9. Brush the top with dairy-free milk.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  11. Drizzle with vegan caramel sauce while still warm, if using.

Notes

Can be served with dairy-free ice cream or more caramel sauce for extra indulgence.
