Delightful warm pastries filled with sweet apples and spices, perfect for a vegan dessert or snack.
Ingredients
- 2 sheets of puff pastry
- 30g caster or granulated sugar
- 2 heaped teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 4 large apples
- Dairy-free milk
- Vegan caramel sauce (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a flat surface.
- Mix the caster sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
- Peel, core, and chop the apples into small pieces.
- Toss the chopped apples with the sugar and cinnamon in a large bowl.
- Place one pastry sheet on a baking tray and spread the apple mixture evenly over it.
- Cover with the second pastry sheet and seal the edges.
- Cut slits in the top to let steam escape.
- Brush the top with dairy-free milk.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Drizzle with vegan caramel sauce while still warm, if using.
Notes
Can be served with dairy-free ice cream or more caramel sauce for extra indulgence.
