Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 4×8 inch loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, mix the melted butter with the mashed bananas.
- Stir in the baking soda and salt.
- Mix in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
- Finally, stir in the flour and walnuts (if using).
- Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan.
- Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let it cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Use very ripe bananas for best flavor. Don’t over-mix the batter for a lighter loaf. Feel free to add chocolate chips or dried fruit for variety.
