Delightful bite-sized stuffing balls infused with the flavors of sage and cranberries, perfect for Thanksgiving.
Ingredients
- 4 cups stale bread, cubed
- 1 tablespoon sage, chopped
- 1 cup cranberries, dried
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 stalks celery, chopped
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add chopped onion and celery, then sauté until softened.
- In a large bowl, combine stale bread, sautéed vegetables, sage, cranberries, salt, and pepper.
- Gradually add chicken broth, mixing until the mixture is moist but not soggy.
- Form the mixture into balls and place them on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
Serve warm, optionally garnished with fresh herbs or cranberries. They can be dipped in gravy or cranberry sauce for extra flavor.
