Description
A moist and flavorful banana bread inspired by Starbucks, easy to prepare and customizable with nuts or chocolate.
Ingredients
- 2-3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 4×8 inch loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, mix the melted butter with the mashed bananas.
- Stir in the baking soda and salt.
- Add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract; mix well.
- Mix in the flour until just incorporated.
- Fold in the walnuts if using.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Use very ripe bananas for better flavor. Do not overmix the batter; mix just until incorporated. Optionally add cinnamon or nutmeg for a richer flavor.
