Description

A delightful treat combining ripe bananas and rich chocolate, perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, combine the mashed bananas and melted butter.
  3. Mix in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
  4. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture, then stir to combine.
  5. Add the flour and cocoa powder, mixing gently until just combined. Avoid over-mixing.
  6. If you like, fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  8. Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
