A delightful dish combining tender beef with colorful bell peppers and onions in a savory sauce, perfect for busy weekdays or cozy dinners.
Ingredients
- 1 pound beef sirloin, sliced into strips
- 2 bell peppers, sliced (any color)
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the beef broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, ginger, salt, and pepper.
- Place the sliced beef in the Crock Pot, followed by the bell peppers and onions.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the meat and vegetables.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the beef is tender.
- If desired, mix cornstarch with a little water and add it to thicken the sauce in the last 30 minutes of cooking.
- Serve over rice or noodles.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the beef strips in the sauce mixture for a few hours before cooking. Feel free to add other vegetables for added nutrition.
