Description

Creamy and cheesy Parmesan scalloped potatoes are the perfect comfort food for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 4 to 6 medium potatoes, sliced thin
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Fresh herbs (such as thyme or rosemary)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Butter for greasing the dish


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish with butter.
  2. In a saucepan, heat the cream with minced garlic and fresh herbs until warm. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Layer the sliced potatoes in the greased baking dish, sprinkling Parmesan cheese between layers.
  4. Pour the infused cream mixture over the potatoes and top with additional Parmesan.
  5. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  6. Let it sit for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Use a mandoline slicer for even potato slices. Mix different cheeses for extra flavor. For added heat, add red pepper flakes to the cream. Let the dish rest for best results.
