Description

A delightful twist on traditional French toast, filled with creamy Nutella and topped with powdered sugar and fresh berries.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices of bread (your choice, like brioche or whole wheat)
  • 1/2 cup of Nutella
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon (optional)
  • Butter for frying
  • Powdered sugar for serving (optional)
  • Fresh berries for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Spread a generous amount of Nutella on two slices of bread. Top with the other two slices to make sandwiches.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until well combined.
  3. Heat a skillet or frying pan over medium heat and add a small amount of butter.
  4. Dip each sandwich carefully into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are coated.
  5. Place the coated sandwiches in the hot skillet and cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
  6. Once cooked, remove the French toast from the pan and let it cool slightly.
  7. Dust with powdered sugar and serve with fresh berries if desired.

Notes

For a healthier option, use whole-grain bread and add sliced strawberries or bananas inside the sandwich with Nutella. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
