Description

A simple and delicious banana nut bread made with ripe bananas and walnuts, perfect for breakfast or as a snack.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs, sugar, melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract to the mashed bananas. Whisk everything together until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
  6. Fold in the chopped walnuts gently.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly.
  8. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Use very ripe bananas for the best flavor and moisture. You can customize this recipe with chocolate chips or different nuts.
