A delightful treat that combines the sweetness of ripe bananas with a warm, spicy cinnamon swirl, perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert.
Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas with the melted butter.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and beaten egg.
- Add the baking soda and salt, mixing well.
- Gradually add sugar, and then mix in the flour until just combined.
- For the cinnamon swirl, combine cinnamon and brown sugar in a separate bowl.
- Pour half of the banana batter into the prepared loaf pan, sprinkle half of the cinnamon mixture over it, then add the remaining batter. Top with the remaining cinnamon mixture.
- Use a knife to swirl the cinnamon into the batter.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool before slicing and enjoy!
Notes
For best flavor, use very ripe bananas. To keep the bread fluffy, don’t overmix the batter. You can add walnuts or pecans for added crunch.
