Description

A delicious loaf of moist banana bread made with ripe bananas, perfect for breakfast or dessert.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup of sour cream
  • 1/3 cup of melted butter
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork.
  3. Add the melted butter to the bananas and mix well.
  4. Stir in the sour cream, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
  5. In another bowl, combine the sugar, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Slowly mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
  7. Fold in the flour until just combined. Do not overmix.
  8. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
  9. Bake for 60 to 70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding nuts or chocolate chips. Store wrapped in plastic wrap or foil for up to three days or freeze for up to three months.
