Description

Tender meatballs cooked with rich French onion soup and topped with creamy Swiss cheese, perfect for a family dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 can French onion soup
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese


Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  3. Place meatballs in the Crockpot.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix together the French onion soup and beef broth; pour over the meatballs.
  5. Cook on low for 360 minutes (6 hours) or on high for 240 minutes (4 hours).
  6. About 30 minutes before serving, sprinkle Swiss cheese on top and cover until melted.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For extra flavor, add fresh herbs like parsley or thyme to the meat mixture. You can also serve them on sub sandwiches topped with Swiss cheese.
