Description

A simple yet delicious one-pot meal combining tender chicken, marinara sauce, and cheesy goodness, perfect for busy families.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked pasta for serving
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the crockpot.
  2. Pour marinara sauce over the chicken, and sprinkle with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 360 minutes or on high for 240 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
  4. About 30 minutes before serving, sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the chicken.
  5. Cover again and let the cheese melt.
  6. Serve hot over cooked pasta and garnish with fresh basil if desired.

Notes

To store leftovers, cool completely and keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days, or freeze for 2-3 months. For a lighter version, use grilled chicken and zucchini noodles.
