A delightful turkey dish featuring tart cranberries and sweet orange, perfect for special occasions.
Ingredients
- 1 turkey breast (bone-in or boneless)
- 1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup honey or brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon orange zest
- 1 teaspoon thyme (fresh or dried)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine cranberries, orange juice, honey or brown sugar, and orange zest. Cook until the cranberries burst and the sauce thickens, about 10-15 minutes.
- Season the turkey breast with salt, pepper, and thyme. Rub olive oil over the turkey.
- Place the turkey in a roasting pan and pour the cranberry-orange glaze over the top.
- Roast in the oven for about 90 to 120 minutes, basting occasionally until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Let rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, let the turkey marinate in the seasoning and olive oil for a few hours before cooking. Make a double batch of the cranberry sauce to use as a side or dip. Baste the turkey with the glaze every 30 minutes while it’s roasting to keep it moist and flavorful.
