A delightful twist on classic banana bread with rich chocolate flavors and chocolate chips, perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert.
Ingredients
- 2 to 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 4×8 inch loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, mix the melted butter into the mashed bananas.
- Stir in the baking soda and salt.
- Add sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract, and mix well.
- Mix in the flour and cocoa powder until just incorporated.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For best flavor, use very ripe bananas. Mix just until combined and consider adding nuts for extra crunch.
