Description
A delightful treat that combines the rich creaminess of cheesecake with sweet apples and caramel, perfect for gatherings or family dessert nights.
Ingredients
- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sour cream
- 4 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups diced apples
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a medium bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until combined. Press this mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan to form the crust.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add the sour cream, eggs, and vanilla extract, mixing until fully blended.
- Fold in the diced apples and cinnamon into the cheesecake mixture, then pour it over the crust in the baking pan.
- Drizzle caramel sauce over the top of the cheesecake mixture and swirl it gently with a knife.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 45-50 minutes or until the center is set.
- Allow to cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours before cutting into bars.
- Serve with additional caramel sauce if desired.
Notes
Make sure your cream cheese is at room temperature before mixing for a smoother texture. Firm apples like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp are ideal. Drizzle caramel sauce just before serving for the best result.
