Ingredients
- 1 cup honey
- 1 pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Zest of 1 lemon
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a saucepan, heat honey over medium heat until it starts to caramelize and turn dark. Remove from heat.
- In a bowl, whisk together eggs, cream, sugar, vanilla, salt, and lemon zest until smooth.
- Slowly add the warm caramelized honey to the egg mixture while whisking continuously.
- Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the filling is set and slightly puffed.
