Description

Delicious and comforting cheesy garlic bread, perfect for pairing with pasta or soup.


Ingredients

  • 8-10 garlic cloves
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Pinch of salt
  • Roasted garlic from above
  • ½ cup butter, melted (113g)
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup milk (60g)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 12 King’s Hawaiian Original Hawaiian Sheet Rolls (or a French baguette)
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Chopped parsley and chili flakes for serving


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Peeled garlic cloves should be placed on aluminum foil, drizzled with olive oil, and sprinkled with a pinch of salt. Wrap tightly and roast for 30-35 minutes until soft and golden.
  3. Allow roasted garlic to cool, then squeeze out of the skins.
  4. In a bowl, mix melted butter, roasted garlic, egg, milk, salt, paprika, and parsley until well combined.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Slice the King’s Hawaiian rolls in half without separating them completely.
  7. Pour the garlic butter mixture evenly over the rolls, allowing it to seep into the cracks.
  8. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  9. Wrap the rolls in aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes.
  10. Unwrap and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until crispy on top.

Notes

Use fresh garlic for the best flavor, and feel free to add different types of cheese for a unique twist.
