Delicious and comforting cheesy garlic bread, perfect for pairing with pasta or soup.
Ingredients
- 8-10 garlic cloves
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Pinch of salt
- Roasted garlic from above
- ½ cup butter, melted (113g)
- 1 egg
- ¼ cup milk (60g)
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp paprika
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
- 12 King’s Hawaiian Original Hawaiian Sheet Rolls (or a French baguette)
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- Chopped parsley and chili flakes for serving
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Peeled garlic cloves should be placed on aluminum foil, drizzled with olive oil, and sprinkled with a pinch of salt. Wrap tightly and roast for 30-35 minutes until soft and golden.
- Allow roasted garlic to cool, then squeeze out of the skins.
- In a bowl, mix melted butter, roasted garlic, egg, milk, salt, paprika, and parsley until well combined.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Slice the King’s Hawaiian rolls in half without separating them completely.
- Pour the garlic butter mixture evenly over the rolls, allowing it to seep into the cracks.
- Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Wrap the rolls in aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes.
- Unwrap and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until crispy on top.
Notes
Use fresh garlic for the best flavor, and feel free to add different types of cheese for a unique twist.
