A comforting and delicious banana bread that’s perfect for breakfast or dessert, made with simple ingredients.
Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
- Stir in the melted butter.
- Mix in the baking soda and salt.
- Add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.
- Stir in the flour until just incorporated.
- Pour the batter into a greased 4×8 inch loaf pan.
- Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Store banana bread at room temperature for up to 3 days or in the refrigerator for up to a week. Can be frozen for up to 3 months.
